Sensory Spectacle

Working with Becky from Sensory Spectacle I've created some bespoke soundscapes to help teach parents and carers, along with the general public, what life is like for sufferers of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).

One installation is  a classroom environment but with the participants heads placed inside a perspex box, out of the corners of which a soundscape of distracting sounds is played, while the participants struggle to complete simple classroom tasks against the barrage of information.

We have also recreated the experience without the boxes using hidden speakers for a classroom, a dining room and a barbers, as well as showing the box working in the National Gallery.
